There are so many different things to do in Lake Havasu, it’s hard to pick just one! There is golf, swimming, boating, water sports, biking, hiking, off-roading, skateboarding, and a hundred other things. No matter what sport or event you are interested in, you can probably find it here, except snow skiing and other sports involving that “white cold stuff”! Besides just getting out and doing these things on your own or with friends, there are lots of events and planned activities to participate in year round. We have running events like 5K’s and such (most of the proceeds go to charity), a couple of tri-athlons, bike races, stock car events at Sara Park, moto cross races, a rodeo and gymkhanas, more than one old car club with one of the biggest events being the Relics and Rods car show in October that brings hundreds of people to town. The International Jet Ski finals call Lake Havasu their home in October as well. London Bridge Days is celebrated in October and last year was our 50th year! January will see the Balloon Fest that started a few years ago featuring hot air balloons from all over the country. They are gorgeous to watch! In February we have Winterfest for our visiting snowbirds, the Winter Blast Pyrotechnics fireworks display (25th year anniversary) that is unbelievable and College for seniors. Lucas Oil brought drag boats to town this year, there is the poker run in April and the list goes on and on! If you are looking for something to do, you won’t have to look far! Be sure to check out the Visitor and Convention Bureau website for a current calendar of events, www.golakehavasu.com .
