My father moved our family here from Connecticut in 1968 when there was only one elementary school; the high school kids rode the bus 120 miles round trip to Kingman; most of the roads were dirt; and the burros roamed the streets freely! What a change... I've been fortunate to watch Havasu grow to become the dynamic little city it is today. I've raised my 3 children here and have called Havasu home for 40 years.
